What a pleasure it was to photograph Kirstin and Keith’s wedding celebration. This light-hearted and funky couple had an intimate wedding ceremony in Kona, Hawaii in April, but wanted to extend the fun with their family and friends back home. What a great idea. I had an awesome time photographing these two love birds, along with their cutie Kadin at the Union Pacific in Chinatown. Kirstin had her hair in a gorgeous soft up-do which showed off her newly acquired hibiscus tattoo and Keith wore short sleeves to show off his–they got them during their honeymoon! Replaying the video of their ceremony was a very nice touch too, and brought tears to everyone’s eyes….By the way, if you’re in need of a haircut, colour, waxing, or other beautifying treatments, Kirstin is your gal. She is fabulous and runs Kharma Hair Design in Fernwood.

Thank you, Vivian, for the beautiful photos of Jamie. It wasn’t an easy shoot with all the peeing and pooing he was doing, but boy was it fun. He kept us on our toes! The photos remind us of how much he has grown already!! Thanks again! xoReplyCancel

  • You’re so welcome! There was a lot of peeing and pooing wasn’t there? 🙂 You two were troopers though, and it wasn’t it worth it?
I know you two are already great parents and will raise Jamie so well!ReplyCancel

I am so pleased to announce I am now offering my wedding clients gorgeous coffee table albums from Leather Craftsmen. Leather Craftsmen has been making beautiful custom albums since 1942! Of course their methods and styles have changed over the years, but they have always been well-known for handcrafted quality. Cover options are endless: rich leathers, a variety of fabrics, inset photos, and personalized imprinting, just to name a few! The 10×10 sample albums featured here are designer leather in cedar and Japanese book cloth in platinum- I am in love with both! Each photograph is mounted flush to a thick page and treated for durability. In addition, the albums lie completely flat when opened, one feature I really love. I know many newlyweds postpone having an album made, then life gets busy, and before they know it 5 years have passed! What a shame–when you have beautiful photos of your special day, why not show them off!

I will also be offering maternity, baby and family albums through Leather Craftsmen shortly, so stay tuned!

Photographers out there looking for an album supplier, I highly recommend Leather Craftsmen. Not only are their products top-notch, their customer service is outstanding! Both Ira and David were a huge help- they patiently answered all my questions (I had lots!!) and walked me through the entire process. Good stuff. Thank you both!

I remember the day clearly: it was last July and our very good friends Katie and Wayne were over at our place. We were getting ready to see Taj Mahal and having some champagne to celebrate (OK, it was only Yellowtail bubbles, but who’s checking?). We had congregated around the kitchen island just before departing. Taking our final sips we all put our empty glasses down practically in unison…Katie’s glass was still full. “Katie you haven’t touched your champagne!” I screeched in dismay. And then the penny dropped…..”Your pregnant!!!”. Skip ahead eight months and I’m at Katie and Wayne’s cool digs in Kitsilano for their maternity session. Before we began Katie pulled up her shirt to a reveal her belly and asked modestly, “So, do you think you can do anything with this?” Ummm, yeah!! I thought. These two beauties welcomed their healthy and adorable baby boy Jamie more than two weeks early (and only three days after Katie began her mat leave- no rest for the weary, hey?). Stay tuned for Jamie’s newborn session soon!

I remember that day very clearly! I so badly wanted to join you for that glass of champagne and it was very hard to keep our secret a secret as I was only 6 weeks along! Wayne and I really appreciate the beautiful maternity photos you took to help us remember our sweet little ‘inside’ Jamie! You helped us step outside of our box! Thanks again Viv! Can’t wait for you to take photos for the next arrival, whenever that may be!! XXReplyCancel

  • Oooh, already thinking about the next arrival?! Nice! Can’t wait 🙂 VivReplyCancel

  • Too gorgeous!!!ReplyCancel

  • […] these images of Katie before baby arrives…isn’t she gorgeous??! (You may remember Katie and Wayne from their maternity session when they were pregnant with their cutie-pie Jaime). We are all […]ReplyCancel

At seven days old Baby J was very curious and alert for her photo shoot. Her big eyes were watching my every move :). It wasn’t until the very end of the session that she dozed off for some shots with Mom. S and J, you have a cutie on your hands!
