vancouver island wedding photographersP I N this to pinterestI finally found some time to blog this fun wedding from the summer! Yay!

What I really enjoy about weddings is that no two are alike. Some people might disagree with that statement: all weddings have a ceremony, family and friends gathering, and some kind of celebration or reception, right? True, but all couples are different and I love it when they make their wedding unique to them! Lorieann & Josh did just that. They were married at the beautiful Beach Club Resort in Parksville, BC and after the ceremony, they made there way to Cathedral Grove, a place of special meaning to them. There they enjoyed a picnic with the wedding party (which included Lorieann’s four sisters as bridesmaids!). They got looks from several passersby and tourists took the opportunity to photograph them as well….it’s not every day you see an entire wedding party picnicking amongst some of the largest old-growth trees on Vancouver Island! Lorieann and Josh’s wedding was such a great reflection of their appreciation for nature. Lorieann and Josh, thank you for having me join you on your special day! I was thrilled to be there, to work with you, and capture your wedding in photographs. And thank you to Roseanne of Orange Passion for inviting me as the second photographer for the day. It was a blast!       Parksville wedding photographerP I N this to pinterest Victoria BC wedding photographersP I N this to pinterest Victoria BC wedding photographyP I N this to pinterest Parksville Beach Club Resort wedding photographyP I N this to pinterest wedding photographers vancouver islandP I N this to pinterest wedding ring photographyP I N this to pinterest Cathedral Grove wedding photographsP I N this to pinterest Victoria BC candid wedding photographyP I N this to pinterest Vancouver island wedding Wedding Party portraitP I N this to pinterest Beach wedding Vancouver IslandP I N this to pinterest Beach Club resort wedding photographersP I N this to pinterest Victoria wedding photosP I N this to pinterest Vancouver Island weddingsP I N this to pinterest BC wedding photographersP I N this to pinterest BC wedding photographyP I N this to pinterest Ocean theme wedding photographyP I N this to pinterest

Hayley and Niels had a beautiful wedding day that began at one of my favourite little churches, Minoru Chapel in Richmond. A classic steeple and pathway made for a perfect outdoor aisle for guests to line and blow bubbles as the couple came down the path after the ceremony, which of course made for a great wedding photography opportunity! From there the wedding party embraced the sunny day and strolled down the boardwalk at Steveston Landing to check out the historical buildings. The evening’s celebrations took place at Vancouver’s Terminal City Club, a luxurious reception venue I highly recommend! Congratulations Hayley and Niels, I wish you all the best in your new life together! And thank you Scott for bringing me on your team for this gorgeous celebration.

Irene and Ali celebrated their love with a gorgeous wedding at the University Golf Club in Vancouver this summer. These two smarties met at UBC during their studies (Irene studied law and Ali engineering) so it was great to visit their favourite spots on campus alongside a powder-blue Nissan Figaro, wow! The ceremony was like nothing I’d seen before- loads of participation from family and friends and so much wonderful Persian food. It was a lovely time.

Irene and Ali were a pleasure to work with too. So much love evident between them and no shortage of smiles! While working with Scott Johnson of Contrast Studio as the second photographer for this wedding I had the opportunity to spend some time with ‘the boys’ as they got ready for the ceremony. That was neat and something I don’t usually get to do!

The evening was filled with great speeches, lively dancing, and we set up a photobooth which provided endless entertainment for guests!

I’m so happy to share with you the Morrow family today. I had the pleasure of photographing Aimee and Kalen when they were bubbling with the excitement for the arrival of their first baby. You can see their maternity session here. Now, over a year later I was thrilled to capture their family of three. We visited Hatley Park for their session which has the most amazing display of fall colours at this time of year! After some playing in the leaves and sloshing around in rubber boots we went back to the Morrow home where Moss showed me his couch climbing skills as well as his favourite apple box! Cute.
