It really is amazing to me that I’ve entered the time in my life where my close friends are starting families! Wow- where has the time gone?! It’s so neat to see just how much these wee people enrich our lives, and they seem to do this right off the bat–tricksters I say :)! I was fortunate to travel to Winnipeg recently to visit my dear, dear friend Lizzy, and her new baby girl Hailey. What a nugget 🙂 I couldn’t get enough of her.  Is she not the sweetest little darling?!! Congratulations Cam and Lizzy–I’m looking forward to seeing the three of you again soon.

My big sister and bro-in-law are expecting a baby! They already have one little rascal, Marcos, and their second is due soon–I can’t wait to meet the new babe! Christina and her family live on Bainbridge Island, so it’s a bit of a journey to see each other with our busy lives. I was so glad that we were able to spend time together during our vacation in Mexico this past Christmas. The beach in Guayabitos is lovely: calm waters and soft fine sand forever….sure am missing it now! The setting sun and this perfect beach provided such a pretty backdrop for Christina’s maternity session. ….Christina, you look awesome! I hope you like these as much as I do. Love, your Sis, Viv.

Please meet sweet baby Jonathan. While it took some patient soothing from mom and dad, baby managed to get some shut eye for his portrait session. There’s nothing like an image of a sleeping baby to melt any stress away–they always look so peaceful!… I wonder if I look half as peaceful sleeping…somehow I think not–probably something to do with my bed head and flailing limbs 🙂 !

Congratulations to the happy parents Ingrid and Blair–you did well 🙂 ! I wish you all the best with this new addition to your family.
