At seven days old Baby J was very curious and alert for her photo shoot. Her big eyes were watching my every move :). It wasn’t until the very end of the session that she dozed off for some shots with Mom. S and J, you have a cutie on your hands! ![]() Anna and Taylor decided it was best to surrender to our wet spring weather for their maternity session, so we immersed ourselves in the lushest of lush places–Goldstream Park–to capture some images of these two before their twins arrive! Can’t wait to meet the two little ones….there’s no doubt they will have the best ringlets ever. Oh, and by the way, Taylor is a fellow photographer–he works for National Geographic WOW! Check out some of Taylor’s work on his website, www.taylorkennedyphotography.com.

I introduce to you baby Max. What a sweetheart. He was very busy boy during his first ever photo session: he cried, fed, peed, pooped, burped, smiled, yawned, and slept. It was great! Here are the results.

We get a lot of rain this time of year on the West Coast. I mean A LOT. And lately I seem to have formed a strange bond with my umbrella. I go nowhere without it–it’s like we’ve become best buddies, partners in crime….well okay, not really. But I have formed a strong appreciation for it’s effectiveness and have caught myself gazing at it lovingly on more than one occasion 🙂 Best invention ever. Thank you umbrella inventors! SO, when Karin and Allen and I faced some not-so-perfect weather at Ogden Point during their maternity session and it looked like the raindrops were winning the battle, who do you think came to the rescue? You guessed it. My polkadotted friend! Turns out she’s quite photogenic too. We were also able to capture some snuggly images indoors along with some classy belly bedroom shots (for privileged eyes only :))-a big thanks to Karin and Allen for being so open to my ideas! …be sure to stay tuned for some über-cute images of their baby Max.
![]() I had the pleasure of photographing S and J, two marine biologists expecting their first baby soon! Given their professions and passion for the outdoors we thought it would be fitting to do their maternity shoot at the beach- the weather held and we were able to capture a bit of beach combing. Thanks you two for teaching me about chitons :). We were also able to incorporate a favourite childhood toy into some of the indoor shots–looking forward to meeting the “little pea” when he or she arrives!
