About Me:
I am a photographer based in beautiful Victoria BC. I focus my work on people and some of the special moments in our lives: weddings, portraits, babies, and families. I’m also a fan of timeless portraits for no specific reason other than to celebrate ourselves!
The power of photographs never ceases to fascinate me, the emotions they can resurrect and the stories that are brought to life through them. A camera has been in my life for as long as I can remember and I have always been the creative-type. With the skills I gained during my professional photography diploma at Langara College combined with a “natural eye”, I am able to capture images folks often describe as contemporary, clean and timeless. I feel honoured to be able to slip into the lives of so many wonderful people and provide them with photographs they can cherish for years to come.
I am a lucky girl—I have a phenomenal husband and two energetic young sons who keep life exciting! A few random things about me:
*when I was 18 my two girlfriends and I rode our bikes from Victoria to Mexico without telling our parents (read: wannabe rebels!).
*I love being healthy- I’m a runner and I heart yoga, but cutting out sugar or gluten couldn’t happen in my world (when it comes to yummy bad things, I have zero willpower).
*I have an obsession with keeping everybody hydrated, so you may find me offering you water at some point 🙂
*I mix gold and silver, brown and black, and have a lot of stripes in my wardrobe.
*I tried tweeting but it made me feel like a twit! Ha! …so I stopped.
*My favourite colour is blue. I also love the ocean, especially when it looks blue 🙂
I feel it is vitally important to convey the uniqueness of each individual in all of my art. I would love to be there to document your wedding day, your new little one, your special family, or any other ideas you may have! Please feel free to contact me with your questions.
About You:
You’re stylish, you’re fun, and you’re totally in love with life. Photography is very important to you, and you want to hire the absolute right person. I encourage you to look around, make sure you find work that you love, and a photographer you connect with; don’t settle for anything less! Remember that your wedding album and portraits will be the heirloom you hand down to your grandkids. They will be the most valuable objects in your house and will only gain interest over time.
